Scenic South Wales & Gorgeous Gower Peninsula

The Gower Peninsula was the first place in Britain to be named an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our base for this tour is 3 star Diplomat Hotel & Spa a family run hotel in the peaceful village of Felinfoel situated on the outskirts of Llanelli. This charming hotel combines excellent service with good food and comfortable rooms. All bedrooms are fully en-suite with TV hairdryer tea/coffee making facilities and features stylish decor and sophistication. The hotel has some bedrooms with walk-in showers, available upon request, there are a limited number of bedrooms on the ground floor. A lift serves all floors some rooms are still accessed via some steps. You can relax in the Spa enjoying the free facilities of the health club including indoor pool, sauna, gym and solarium. Evening entertainment is provided on two nights during your stay.

Sunday

Once on board the coach sit back and relax as we make our way to South Wales, with suitable comfort and refreshment stops as required. On arrival at the hotel, you will be served complimentary tea/coffee then there's time to freshen up before your evening meal.

Full Day

Our excursion today starts with a morning visit to the picturesque Victorian resort of Mumbles, an area renowned for its sandy beaches with its boutiques, galleries and potteries. In the afternoon we visit the Gower Heritage Centre with a guided tour of the mill followed by a coach guided highlight tour of the Gower Peninsula, returning back to the heritage centre for a Vintage Tea, before returning back to the hotel.

Full Day

This morning we travel to Carmarthen, the oldest Town in Wales, with its popular Wednesday outdoor market, medieval lanes and Georgian buildings. In the afternoon we travel to Abergwili Junction boarding the vintage steam train with seats on board in 1950's carriages on the Gwili Steam Railway for a 1.5 hour scenic journey. One of the UK's most picturesque-preserved lines, set in beautiful countryside on a steady uphill journey over rivers through pretty fields and wooded hillside.

Full Day

Today we head into Pembrokeshire to the historic coastal resort of Tenby, with it's natural charm, narrow streets, friendly harbour and beautiful beaches. Moving onto Saundersfoot with free time in each resort to explore these Welsh holiday destinations.

Thursday

This morning we bid farewell to our hosts and commence the homeward journey back to Lincolnshire with suitable comfort and refreshment stops as required.
