Yuletide York & Castle Howard

Enjoy a short break before the festive period, staying in a Country House Hotel just outside York. The 3 star Burn Hall Hotel is set amidst eight acres of stunning parkland in the beautiful North Yorkshire Countryside. The hotel offers the best of both worlds secluded enough to offer tranquillity, but close enough to visit the suburb Castle Howard and City of York. The hotel bedrooms have full en-suite facilities with a shower over the bath, tea/coffee making facilities, Flatscreen T.V and wifi. The restaurant serves homecooked meals with locally sourced ingredients, there is a lift to all floors, with a quiz on one evening.

Friday

Once aboard the coach we head north to Castle Howard to discover the magic of Christmas at this beautiful stately home. It is lavishly decorated for the season each year, the creative designers have a theme for the attractions and transform the home into a Christmassy Wonderland. Don't forget to browse around the special mementoes from the bauble emporium and stock up on delicious seasonable essentials from the farm shop and garden centre. Continuing the journey to the hotel to settle in and freshen up before your evening meal.

Saturday

After breakfast we board the coach and head to York City Centre for free time to explore this historic city with its unique Yuletide experience. Stroll around St Nicholas Fair and soak up the cities medieval charm.

Sunday

After a leisurely breakfast we have a mid-morning departure, heading back to Lincolnshire with suitable stops along the way.
